AndreRadtke Modified date of folder in SharePoint document library will not change if new files added/ or existing files edited inside the folder.
Modified date of folder only changes when you change the create a new folder, rename an existing folder or change any metadata associated with the folder.
Check below threads for more information:
- SharePoint folder "modified" date not accurate
- Update the folder content it doesn't update last modified field
- SharePoint - Modified date for a folder is not updated when a subitem is updated

- AndreRadtkeFeb 23, 2024Brass ContributorSad to say that, but it is not a solution for me. I need to sort the folders by the modified Date of the files or folders within the folder. How can I achieve that? Is there a possible way? the links you posted are saying it is not possible. Is this the last answer?
