So, not being up to speed with stream, I assume you can download video in its original format? Can you create content types for video and surface via a search query?
Yes, you can download the originally uploaded video in Stream. Unfortunately, Stream is not integrated in SharePoint Search and SharePoint's taxonomy structure (yet...).
