Version management - major and minor

Hi,

 

I have a document libary with several files. It is possible to save changes in the documents like minor og major versions. I only want to open the latest major version (used for an excel power-query tabel). Is there some easy kind of settings to do that?

    Not sure if I follow you hare....do you mean that if you have major and minor versions, it might be that a minor version is opened instead of the major one? If that's the case: what about using the minimum permissions to collaborate on the file so minor versions are not considered?

      I have an Excel sheet in my document libary. This sheet have a lot of minor versions and major versions. 

       

      For example:

       

      11-11-2020  Minor

      11-10-2020  Major

      11-09-2020  Minor

      11-08-2020  Major

       

      In this case I want the data from latest major version = 11-10-2020.

      If i import data from the web-link on sharepoint into my Power Query (Excel) I get the data from 11-11-2020 minor...
