Using Microsoft 365 for policy and procedure management - pros, cons and gaps

Yes, while Approvals workflows in Microsoft Teams can be useful for basic approval processes, they lack the full functionality needed for structured policy management, especially for tracking mandatory reads and acknowledgments at scale. For example, approvals in teams won't be able to handle recurring read tasks where you want people to read a document, say, once a year. And neither will you be able to handle the complexities of people joining or leaving the organisation. Very quickly things can get messy and require lots of manual administration, tracking etc.
