Using default date[Today] in document content type in a Sharepoint Library

Hi,

I have used a document content type in a sharepoint library where 1 column value needs to be today's date by default. I selected [Today's Date] in [Default value] while creating the column .Then i used the Quick part to display the date in the word template.But whenever i am creating a new document in the library,the same date value is shown in the column (when the word template was created for the first time).

for ex: I created a word template for content type on 28th ,but today when i am creating a new document,the date remains 28th,which in my case   should be Today's date.
