User-specific data to store in SharePoint Online

I have some user-specific data that I need to store in SharePoint Online and make accessible to the user through custom webparts. For example, list of subscription details(name, url, status). What would be the most straightforward way to store this information?

You could use Audiences, but if you do this, be aware, that there is no way to control when the Audience gets recompiled, last I checked, it was only once a week (which makes testing very difficult)

I think the weekly recompile may only apply to Active Directory groups. I've used (last week) SharePoint Groups to to target content and the content was immediately only visible to those in the SharePoint Group.

  • It will probably depend on what you want to  do with the data. But it sounds like a SharePoint list or user profile properties should do the trick.
