Microsoft,
Great job on improving Quick Links but I beg of you to fix 1 thing. Please allow us to choose if the link should open in place or new window. As I develop extremely useful User Interfaces for business processes and data collection, Quick Links are the perfect solution for creating buttons etc.
However, Users end up with hundreds of browser windows open because each click of a Quick Link opens a whole new browser window.

Sep 23, 2018Thanks for the feedback Larry. The logic should be - link on the same site opens in the same window. Link to another site/domain/etc opens in a new tab. This is the behavior we're trying to consistently create with all our links in modern experiences (going away from author manual choice to a more consistent experience for all users).

Originally I was able to use the Quick Links Web part to add a link to a folder within the Document Folder. Now I am unable to do so. I can only create a link to a file or a page. What am I doing wrong?
