Unable to see column dropdown option in new pages page details
Hello there,
I made a column in the site content -> site pages folder. The column for example is called Collection. It uses choice as the column type.
However when I tried to edit a news page that I made, I am unable to see the column as a dropdown option in page details properties. This is how my properties tab look like, it only shows Name of the file and it does not have a dropdown selection of the column that I made called Collection
May I ask if I need to enable something or this might be due to permission settings issue of my account as I am doing it for a organization.
I want to have a select like this image below
stuhelper001 If you have some data in newly created column and you cannot delete it and create a new column, you will have to manually add it to all content types.
Go to Site Pages library > Library settings > Content Types section > Click on content type name (E.g. Site Page):
On content type details page, select Add from existing site or list columns option:
Then you can add it by selecting List Columns option from drop down:
Then it will show up in properties pane:

stuhelper001 You have to add your custom column to Site Page (and other content types if you are using any in site pages library) content type as suggested by DaveMehr365 then only it will be visible in Properties pane for each site page.
You can add it to all content types in site pages library while creating a column itself using this setting:

Hello stuhelper001
have you added the new column to all content types (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/add-columns-content-type )? Be sure that the content type from your page have the column. And check, that you show the column in your form: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/edit-a-list-column-77130c2e-76d1-4f80-af8b-4c6f47b264b8
