Unable to delete Sharepoint Site

Hi,

 

I have been trying to delete a couple of Sharepoint Sites that were set up, yet I am unable to do so. When trying to delete the site it comes back with an error message that there is a compliance policy /eDiscovery Hold in place. 

 

I have checked for a compliance policy and retention schedule etc and there isn't one in place that would be stopping the deletion of a Sharepoint site. 

 

Is anybody able to point in the next direction to try? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi LukeM,

     

    We had a similar situation and had to engage Microsoft support. There are a couple places in O365 that could be applying the eDiscovery / Hold in place. In our situation, support had to make back-end changes to remove the policy.
