Unable to add Modern Pages to Publishing site in SharePoint online

Hi Everyone,

 

I am unable to add the Modern Page in Publishing site while I already enabled the Site Pages feature. I can't see the "Page" option instead I can see a "Link" option as below. I also checked the tenant admin settings and there is nothing disabled for Site Pages.

 

I also verify this with different tenant while creating the publishing site and enabling the Site Pages features. Where I can see "Page" option and able to add the modern page as shown below.


Can anyone help here with this weird issue, why I can't see the "Page" option in Site Pages and why I can see this "Link" option.

 

Your help will greatly appreciated !!

    I've seen it take upwards of 24 hours before it actually allows you to create the pages.

    I have seen also this and to me is a bug in the Site Pages Library that needs to be fixed by Microsoft
