Turn off posted news notification to teams
Hi everyone,
When someone posts news on the SharePoint site, some users receive notifications in their Teams. How can I turn off these notifications from the SharePoint site admin side?
If this is due to Viva Connections, how can I configure it?
My goal is to prevent notifications from being sent to Teams after news is posted.
Thank you

This is such a challenging new feature and have so many customers trying to turn off, as it impacts their intranets.

Refer to this article, which will enable you to control notifications at the user device level.https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/viva/connections/mobile-notifications-viva-connections
Tenant-level workaround may work but it impacts all notifications from SharePoint to other apps.
You can follow the steps to block notifications.
1. Go to Settings in the SharePoint admin center and sign in with an account with admin permissions for your organization.
2. Select the Notifications setting for SharePoint.
3. Clear Allow notifications.
Second Option:
You can also control this setting in PowerShell by using Set-SPOTenant -NotificationsInSharePointEnabled. - JimHuxterEFCopper Contributor
I don't have an answer but just wanted to jump on to say I'm hoping for an answer too. This seemed to start happening in the last week or two and I'd really like to be able to turn it off.
