Trying to create Subsite

I have just signed up to 365 Basic Plan and trying to create a Sharepoint Subsite but seemingly nothing I've tried has worked.

I'm the only user set up so have full permission as owner and I can't see any option under Site creation to enable subsite permissions. I've also tried unselecting the Create a shared library from OneDrive.

admin1670 Once you've created your top level site go into it and go to Site Contents. Click on New and select Create subsite.

But you should be aware that Microsoft no longer recommends using subsites but instead have a flat structure of sites associated to a hub site. News can flow up & down between the hub site and associated sites.

I've done that but there's no option for Create subsite in the menu.
I included a screenshot and as you can see, it only has List, Page, Document Library or Page
      • It seems subsites creation is diabled in the tenant: Might I ask why you want to crete a Subsite? Microsoft has advised since 2017 to avoid subsites creation if possible
