The 'like' thumb icon is missing?

We are seeing (or rather, not seeing) the icon for liking an article on our SPO-based intranet. The like count is still seen, and updated, but where the icon should be we only see white space. All other icons (comments, views) are visible as normal.

Is this something general, or are we alone in this?
