Subsites on mondern team site
Sorry, but I cannot reproduce the issue...
The members of my private Groups can access regularly both the connected sites and all their subsites.
Have you stopped inheritance somehow?
My main groups shows they should have edit rights and when i look at permissions it shows this website inherits permissions from its parent.
When they attempt to access it they get the webpage cannot be found.
Well, if they get that the webpage cannot be found, it doesn't appear to be a permission issue.
Has the subsite been regularly created? Is it, in first place, accessible by the owner?
If it is so, try to paste, in members' browsers, directly the URL which appears in the owner's browser address bar, which should be something like "https://<tenant>.sharepoint.com/sites/<groupname>/<subsitename>/SitePages/Home.aspx".
