SPFx Web Part - No App Catalog
Hi,
I've been having a play with SPFx, and I'm starting to think that maybe I misunderstood some of the statements at the Tech Summit.
I've developed my React hello world web part, and it's showing all my changes on my workbench. I'm now looking at deployment options, and I can only find documentation re. deployment to a tenant wide App Catalog.
Did I hear at the Summit that you could deploy these web parts at Tenant and site level, and Site collection level was on the way, or did I confuse some other message here?
Do we always have to package customizations as an app and globally deploy them to an app store?
Have we lost the decentralized nature of having teams empowered to deploy their own customizations to their own Sites/Site Collections without the interference of Global Admins?
Looking forward to hearing from the more seasoned "SP Frameworkers" out there.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Cheers,
JC

- You heard it well...the site collection catalog is coming, but I think is not fully rolled out yet: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/dev/spfx/roadmap - Site collection app catalog with tenant level control for enabling easier solution deployed - by end of 2017

Thanks for the quick reply Juan.
Anything at site level? Something about deploying scripts to the Site Assets library?
- AnonymousDoubtful Jorge, since Microsoft stance is now each site should be a site collection, so they will stop at the site collection level.
