SP metadata within word document
Hi
I have a document library with 2 content types set up (policy & procedure). each template has a footer with quick parts meta data.
If I modify a document in the library, sharepoint columns update fine with the modified date and version. However, the quick parts meta data doesn't update to relfect this. If I go into the document properties, they havent updated either.
would i always have to manually change the modified date and version number within the word doc properties to match with sharepoint columns?

andreaburgess1976no, you should not have to manually do that. Did you associate the Content Type with a document template? see https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Create-or-customize-a-site-content-type-27EB6551-9867-4201-A819-620C5658A60F for the instructions

Dean_Gross yes thats how i did it. any other ideas please?:-)
- Dean_GrossSilver Contributorwhat are the data types of the custom fields that you added to each Content Type?
Are these CTs created in the local Site or in the CT Hub site?
Are the document templates connected to the CTs?
