I would recommend to take a look at Sitecore CMS for public facing websites. Please refer article below.

Sitecore is a great tool and I'm a huge fan, but IMO doesn't meet the "as easy to use as SharePoint". It's a high end Web CMS and has been #1 rated by Gartner for many years and if the requirements dictate then it would certainly do the job (and more). If however, the need is more simple then there are many other, easier and cheaper alternatives. As always, it comes down to "what is the problem you're trying to solve".
