Site Collection Administrator not being removed after removing Group Owner?

I've noticed that when I remove a group owner of an Office 365 Group via the Office 365 Admin or Azure Admin Panels, the SharePoint Site Collection Administrator does not get removed from the Group Site and the user remains as a Site Collection Admin until manually removed. 

 

Can anyone confirm this behavior?

    It doesn't instantly do it, there is a job that runs but it usually isn't too long from what I remember.
