Site Collection Admin Best Practices?

Hi

 

Are there any best practices regarding which users/groups should be made Primary and Secondary Site Collection Administrators (SCA) in SharePoint Online?

We have a policy against making end users SCA's and I currently use "Company Administrator" for Primary SCA and my own non-admin account as secondary SCA. But that is probably not optimal.

 

What are you doing?

    Put some trust in your people and they will do the right thing, and be able to use the functionality and features to it's fullest...

    But each to their own, you'll get lots of opinions on this but there isn't a best practice, well Microsoft will say open it up and allow your users to flourish not restrict... there are better was to govern rather than restricting.
