Sharing Folders
I need to share a folder of say resumes with a group of external users. However, when I send the invite they are required to create a Microsoft account (no problem, easy step). Once the account is created they are taken right to the folder and are able to view the resumes. However, if they close down their browser and click on that sharing link they no longer are able to access the documents. WHY? And if I send them a link it says they dont' have access either. I have Sharepoint Online set up to allow external sharing but that doesn't seem to help at all. Anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? As it stands now I have to send out the sharing invitation and tell the users to create an account, let me know that its created and then send them another invitation. I know I'm not understanding something so I'm hoping someone can clue me in.

Is "External users must accept sharing invitations using the same account that the invitations were sent to" unchecked in the Sharepoint Admin center? OK, unless this they probably couldn't open the shared folder for the first time, yet this is where I would start the investigation.

Sorry that still did not work. I sent a sharing request, created Microsoft account and then accessed files. When I went back to the sharing invitation it wouldn't allow me to access the folder. In great big letters "Sorry, you don't have access to this page". I JUST DID!!!!!!! This is very frustrating. What is the point of sending an invitation to share a document if they don't have access to it after they create the account? Its like its a one shot deal.

Tried but couldn't reproduce this behavior in our tenant, it worked as expected. I don't know about any other setting than the one I referred to above (which should be UNchecked and which was checked in your screenshot).
If you copy the sharing link and paste it to an incognito/private browser window to have clear session, will the same happen?
- Deletedthat is strange behavior indeed.
