Hi Alex,
Sorry, I cannot take that as a workaround/solution. The whole point of me using a Private Channel is because I don't want the content in that channel to be accessible by the entire Team.

I tried the solution suggested by AlexBoal and I could share the private site to user in my organisation but could not share with my gmail account (external account) that is not defined in my organisation directory. As suggested by Alex, using a standard channels (public) that you create, you could define who could access to it and you can also add external user as a guest.
