You can create a single SharePoint Online calendar, add a choice/dropdown column for schools (or repurpose the category column), create a view for each school and then use the calendar overlay option to show each school by a distinct color. In the overlay options, you choose a list view to display rather than a net new calendar. Then, from SharePoint ribbon. sync this calendar to your Outlook. Make sure all users who need to be able to sync at least have read access to the calendar.
- You can do this, but you won't get your meta data / different school breakdowns. in the custom column you create. So in this case it would mostly be web only calendar.
