Sharepoint/powerapps pop up notifications

Hello all,

Is there anyway for me to create pop up alerts for a sharepoint list/connected powerapp when an item is modified? I know I can set up email alerts but I am looking for something to pop up on the screen when an item is updated. This can be accomplished via either sharepoint or via the code in the connected powerapp. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
