SharePoint Workflow 2013 Optimization

Hello!

 

Is there any article regarding Workflow 2013 optimizations? I would like to know if there are any tips & tricks to creating faster workflows?

 

Some questions come to mind:

• Are "Current Item" properties cached or is workflow creating request if this action is used?
  • If we use multiple IF statements is it better to save Current Item property to workflow property and then use it in all IF statements or is it the same if we use Current Item on all?
• Is it better to use one Stage or multiple stages?

Generally I would like to know how to optimize workflows.
