SharePoint Usage Ideas
Currently we are using SharePoint Online for a file repository and also as a leave request calendar. I am wondering what other ways we can take advantage of SharePoint Online.

Totally agree :-)...for instance, we are building at my company a GDPR solution built on top of SPO :-)...and no to mention other Portal solutions such as an Intranet, Employee Portal, Communication Portal, etc
We build all kinds of "mini applications" using SharePoint Lists and Libraries - procurement request forms, new IT project forms, resource request forms, etc (all with "state-machine" workflows that move it through the process). We use it to do simple opportunity tracking and connect it up to PowerBI for visual analysis of opportunities. I call it a great 90% platform. You can do a million different things, you may not always get it to be 100% of what you want, but most of the time 90% is good enough.
