SharePoint Store - Make Purchase

As SharePoint Admin, I want to purchase a 3rd party app in the Microsoft SharePoint Store for use by one of our users. Here I see that we must use a Microsoft Account. https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Buy-an-app-from-the-SharePoint-Store-dd98e50e-d3db-4ecb-9bb7-82b189822d43?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US My question is, when I actually try to make the purchase, will it ask me for a credit card number, or does it somehow automatically get billed to my company? Also, are SharePoint Admin permissions sufficient to make the purchase or will I need a Global Tenant Admin?

  • Did you actually try to simulate the process? If you follow the steps to buy the app using the SharePoint store, you will be asked to provide a credit card number or a paypal account...you can also check (this depends on the app) if it's possible to buy directly from the vendor website. In regards of permissions, SharePoint Admin role should be enough
