SharePoint Sites in Site Collection
Hi When I create a Site Collection in SPO - I create the site in the managed path /Sites - e.g. "Marketing1' site selecting a SP publishing site template So I get a "New" site collection - con...
- Nov 08, 2018Can't find anything direct it's been talked about at Ignite and they continue to throw hints that best practice is using site collections instead of subsites. Lots more settings etc. you gain from Site collections vs. a subsit.

Yes a site collection can only have one parent site. Also you really dont' want to create subsites for this purpose and want to create site collections for both Mark1 and Mark2 as that is guidance that Microsoft has been hearding us for as it pertains to support in the future etc.
