SharePoint site permissions overriding file permissions
I've uploaded an Excel spreadsheet to a SharePoint document library with editing restricted using Protect Worksheet but all members of the SharePoint document library are able to edit. It would seem that SharePoint permissions are overriding the file permissions? How can I overcome this?
FEL3322 To restrict editing files in SharePoint, you can break permission inheritance for this specific file and grant "Read" permissions to all users/groups.
You can select file > Ellipses (...) > Manage access > Advanced (at the bottom of manage access popup) and change all permissions for a file.
