Sharepoint Site Edit Differences
Hi! Sorry if this has been answered- I wasn't sure how to word it. I've taken over our site, and I noticed the homepage is a different format than our pages. I really prefer the edit layout with ...
So the main page is a SharePoint Classic page and is recommended not to be used, I'm guessing it's an old site or your root site?
You can follow this to modernize it :

If it's your root site, then you can create a new communication site and do a site swap. Don't forget to move your files after that to the new site.
