SharePoint Shortcut Error

I am trying to use SharePoint's shortcut feature. When I try to add a shortcut for a file in a library it says operation not supported. Even when I try to add it to my files it says operation not sup...

Hi AJMyers,

here are some troubleshooting steps you might use to resolve your issue:

  1. Revoke and Reapply Permissions:
    Try removing the permissions for your (problematic) account from the site and then reapply them. Check to see if the problem persists.

  2. Verify in Other Locations:
    Examine whether the problem exists in other libraries or sites for the same account.

    I confirmed it's the same issue in other libraries. Also other people in the Tenant have the same issue. Seems to be a tenant wide problem.
