SharePoint published content type & template query
I’m having a little difficulty trying to publish a content type from the hub.
At the moment I’ve successfully created the content type along with some mandatory columns to go with the content type (protective marking and retention period) – I associated a template document in a separate SharePoint site collection purely to house the templates and other global assets to be used across site collections. The problem I am experiencing is that all appears to have published to site collections as expected, and I can see the new content types in the library "New" drop-down – but when I click on one, nothing happens. Here are the screenshots of the various areas of configuration.
Where might I be going wrong?

- DeletedThanks - logged a call with Microsoft Sharepoint team and they confirmed it's not possible to add that so have resorted to simply publishing (uploading) the template to the content type which propagates around and seems to work OK.

Seems like the template is not identified from the repository of templates from another SC. Cant you create a separate library in CTH hub site collection. for this solution, Can you ensure that all have access to template location.
Once you have rechecked all this, pleas republish the Content type and test is tomorrow. You must wait for all changes to cascade to all site collections.

Thanks... is that some sort of bug or is it not possible to link to the library in another SC? Surely it must be possible - given that they allow you to specify a URL?

I dont think you can provide another site collection url. But also agree that if allows to add an url from another SC, which can be confusing. With following article, it seems that the template must reside in same Site collection.
