Sharepoint permissions
In Sharepoint, do license types weigh in on permissions. If someone with an E5 license creates a Sharepoint file repository that’s treated like a file share, can they grant an internal user with an F1 license contribute access to those documents?
- My understanding is that license has no effect on SharePoint permissions.
Technically license doesn't have an effect from technical standpoint, but license wise, F1 is supposed to be limited to consumption of SharePoint and not design / edit rights to pages, sites etc. but sharing and collaboration on files is fine with F1.
