SharePoint Permissions

We has a user leaving our division but still staying in the company.

I would like to remove permissions across all our sites, subsites, lists, libraries, documents... for this user.

What is the best way to accomplish this?

We have too many sites, etc.  to do it manually.  I was thinking of removing the User Profile? Would that work?
