SharePoint Online Themes
Good Day
We are looking at making available custom themes in SharePoint Online and were wondering if we can initially have those custom themes only made available to a few existing site collections. We are not ready yet in making this available across the tenant/all site collections.
Also when it comes to the existing default themes it looks we can hide them, are we able in hiding themes to specific site collections or this is only a tenant wide setting?
Thanks!
- AFAIK, SPO Themes are scoped at the tenant level so once you add a new theme you can apply to any site in your tenant: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/sharepoint-online/add-spotheme?view=sharepoint-ps
- Alan MarshallSteel ContributorThis is why I recommend organizations have a test tenant with 2-3 equivalent licences. You can then use this tenant to test global settings like themes and anything that can't be site collection scoped, it's also useful when setting conditional access so you can evaluate impact without blocking users.
