SharePoint online "sites web part" tile color

the colour of the tiles in the sites web part seems to be inconsistent.  We have a group of sites joined to a hub site with a custom theme (Dark Blue), but when we use the sites web part some site tiles are showing with the proper theme colour (dark blue), but some are showing with a different colour (light blue).  Sometimes it even seems to change.  I am attaching a screenshot.

 

Are others seeing this issue and is there a workaround out there?

    Mine looks like a pack of skittles, all the colors of the rainbow.

    As you suspect, I think this has to do with the applied theme colors. Can you reapply the theme to the sites that are not appearing in the same color?

      So I think I got it to work but it was a bit of a crap shoot.  I had to unjoin from the hub site, then toggle the look and feel by choosing any modern them and then change it back to the proper theme.  Then I rejoined the hub site.  I had to wait some time but the tiles seem to be using the theme colour now.

      I think I tried that and it didn't help but I will give it a try again.  These sites are all joined to a hub so they are inheriting the Hub design.  I will remove the site from the hub and change the look and then re-join and see if it helps.
