SharePoint Online Site Links being misdirected
I have a relatively small SharePoint Online subsite. I've been getting some very erratic behavior over the past couple of days. Frequently when you click on the navigation pane or a link on the subsite home page, you will get end up on the last SharePoint page you visited or the home page for the main site. After a few attempts, the link will usually then take you to the document or library that you expect. Other times, you get to the subsite homepage and it works just fine. I have not been able to replicate this behavior on any other subsites, so I assume it is particular to just this site. Any idea as to what might be going on?
Edit: The users of this site have contribute privileges on the document library and read for the rest.

Same issue here with one of our demo sites. I thought it was just me being a muppet during a demo but in the last couple of days I have seen this issue crop up a few times

nickwinchester,, I hope something gets better soon. This is on a site that is only for our executives. It's pretty embarrassing to have this happening to my boss! And I can't fix it.

ChristyQV , I can second this, our tenant is experiencing similar issues and it started approximately Wednesday 3rd of June.
From what i can gather, it is intermittent and for us at least will generally only last 10/15min at a time. (Edit: Well it was lasting only 10/15min, but this morning it has been persistent for the last hour, very frustrating trying to traverse sites & settings)
Below is what I have so far.- All users that have reported this issue are experiencing it on accounts that have site collection admin privilege.
- Doesn't appear to be related to specific web browsers (tested on Edge (Chromium), Google Chrome & IE11).
- So far its happened when trying to navigate to document libraries, site permissions, site contents and like you said ChristyQV it will take you back to the last page you visited.
