SharePoint Online News web part

In SharePoint 'News' web part, when News Source is 'This site', the resolution of the images automatically gets reduced (even though high quality images are uploaded in 'News Link Details') and when News Source is 'Select sites', the page reloads and then new tab opens on clicking on any news.

Has anyone faced similar issue? How to stop the page from reloading when news source is 'Select sites'?How to restore the resolution of the image when source is 'This site'?
