Sharepoint Online Multi-line text field append changes view details not showing details
Hello,
I have a sales order table that has an "Order Comments" multi-line text field that I'm not able to get any of the comments to display on the item properties pages.
If I create a new list and enable version control then create a multi-line text column and enable append changes clicking view details shows a list of the comments in the item properties page. But on my sales order table it won't display, I've even tried creating a new test column and clicking view details just takes me to the item properties page and shows the view details link where the actual data strings should be. The only difference I can see between it working and not working is the number of fields in the table, the one it is failing on has 18 fields displayed. Is there something else I should look at??

Hi Richard, Multi-line text "append" support isn't supported in ModernUI, not sure if that's what you are using. However the good news is it will be supported for Targeted release tenants by mid July, per admin message: MC141280

- Richard HansonCopper ContributorYes we are using the modern UI. Other tgan waiting for a roll out is there another recommended practice to have a comment field in a list that will allow for multiple entries not just the modification of a single one?

Richard Hanson, can you provide details on how are you creating Sales order table in SharePoint Online?

Devendra Velegandla Sorry I should be clearer, the Sales order list, not table. It's created just by adding a new list to the site, usually I do this from the site contents page.
