SharePoint Online Modern Document Set

Could you explain where you're seeing the issue a bit more? I tried to reproduce this and couldn't. Are you sure you've set the visibility of the fileds in the Document Set settings?

    MarcDAnderson Yes all the fields are visible. But i heard from microsoft that they are working on it and i am happy to hear that it will be resolve in near future.

      Really working on it? It seems this is not true, based on the UserVoice.

      It's hard to explain to my customers that some features are available only in modern experience, but unfortunately, when using Document Set, modern experience is not yet available. And as I just found on UserVoice, it may not be available at all!
