SharePoint Online copy/move list items using Site Content and Structure fails
When I was trying to archive some list content, and I found out that the copy/move operations using Site Content and Structure(sitemanager.aspx) is not working as expected, neither does this give any error nor is it stuck (when copying). In fact, if I check the content and structure log I find the message as succeeded, but a file/item is not copied to the target.
I am the SharePoint admin and owner of the site as well. The reason I was planning using the Site Content and Structure feature is to preserve metadata.
It worked perfectly for libraries’ content though.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
- So, are you having problems when moving lists only? Are these lists large lists?
- Yes. I have tried with different lists. The actual list size is 4763 items. However, I have tried to reproduce steps on smaller lists. I even created a brand new list with only 3 items within. Same issue.
