SharePoint Notifications
Hi,
Is there any way to have a notification in SharePoint of new items added?
Example, we have a document vault where we keep all our processes, policies, guides, etc. when we add a new document we want to be able to show the user when they log into the Home page of our SharePoint site, they see a notification that a new document or item has been added, they can then view on this item and mark as read and the notification disappears, but still shows for the users that have not yet clicked marked as read.
Any suggestions or examples would be appreciated,
Thank you
Claire
- Some options you have here:
(1) You can set up alerts in SPO document libraries and get a notification every time a document is added, updated, etc https://support.office.com/en-us/article/create-an-alert-to-get-notified-when-a-file-or-folder-changes-in-sharepoint-e5a79e7b-a146-46da-a9ef-d65409ba8918
(2) You could create a Flow attached to the document library that sends a notification everytime a document is created in a document library- Claire AllenCopper Contributor
Hello jcgonzalezmartin
Thank you for coming back to me,
Apologies if I did not explain my requirements very well,
I've used Alerts within documents library, what we are looking for is like a push notification that appears as a message on the home landing page, to make people aware of new policies, processes
Something that is visual and gets the message across.
I'm not sure if this is possible
Thank you
Claire
