SharePoint news digest to external users

Hi,
I work for a large company with various departments. I have a SharePoint site for my department where we (as well as other things) share news. 
Once a week/month I create a news digest with news stories I want to share.

I would like to include people from other departments - that's fine but they don't have access to click the links in the digest to read the full story. I don't want to grant everyone access to our site because we share confidential information within our department and our files. 

So my question is, can I share access to everyone else in my organisation to view the links on the news digest ONLY?
