Sharepoint news author name in template
Hello,
I've created a simple template to add news to my organization's site.
However, the author name was saved as my name, and if user is using the template there is still my name. I've tried to set it blank in the template, but then every time a new News is created, the user have to put his name manually.
On the Sharpoint 'out-of-the-box' templates, the author field is automatically updating with the current user profile. How to achieve this functionality on the custom template?
Anybody has some ideas? 🙂
I'm running into the same scenario. Have you heard anything on this topic?
