SharePoint list unique search

Hi,

I have a Sharepoint list in which I have name (text) column and Interview date column to record when that user was interviewed.

My requirement is, creating a searchbox on a custom page where I dont show the list data upfront(I keep it hidden from the user) and when user tries to search for a name, if the name exist in the list with an interview date, I want to present a message saying that this user was already interviewed on this date and if the user name does not exist in the list then it should present another message like there is no interview dates noted for this user.
