Sharepoint List size
Good morning!
My SharePoint List have 262 columns now and I need to add 15 more columns to same list however it gives me error, try again. It is because of the size.
Is there a workaround to increase size of a List.
I would appreciate the help.
So far I know, SharePoint Online has certain limitations when it comes to the number of columns and the overall size of a list. Currently, SharePoint Online limits lists to 12 lookup fields and up to 30 million items but imposes a column width limit that can lead to performance issues or errors when the overall size of the list exceeds certain thresholds.
You can review and optimize your list structure, reduce the size of individual rows, or even split the list into smaller, more manageable sections. However, if your data requirements are beyond what SharePoint Online can handle natively, looking into external data storage solutions like Azure SQL would be your best bet.
