SharePoint list menu was there before, now it vanished.

Hello!

I am working on a list in SharePoint online modern. Items used to have a menu that appeared when you hover over them, like this example:

Each item has a 3 dot menu, the share button and the comment button.

After making a few different views of my list, this menu doesn't appear anymore. I went back to All Items view (which is unchanged) and it doesn't appear there either.

I tried making a new list in the same site, and there it is working:

So I am wondering if there is any setting in the edit (or out of the box formatting) which causes this menu to disappear. I'd like the menu back because it is much more useful!
