Sharepoint Library Folder Depth - filename/path limits

2. 5000 Document Limit:
The 5,000‑item limit is NOT a limit on how many documents a library or folder can contain. It is the List View Threshold (LVT)- a limit on how many items a single view can query at once.
SharePoint Online can store up to 30 million items in a library. The 5,000‑item threshold only affects how views, sorting, grouping, and filtering behave. It is per view, not per folder or per library.
