SharePoint Library- Continually Refreshing

Hi,

 

So we have a SharePoint library and there's quite a few items in it. It's set up to allow metadata to be entered, but for some reason the view refreshes quite often meaning when we go to edit the metadata, the screen will refresh before the metadata can be saved. We can get round this by doing 'Edit Items' in the sidebar, or by doing 'Edit in Grid View', but it's really annoying and Ive no idea why it happens. 

Can anyone suggest a way of stopping this happening?

    Hi Barking_Mad 

     

    is it a standard view or do you use ViewFormatting, ColumnFormatting or anything else?

     

    You can try to create a new view with filters and a smaller number of elements and without customizing like formattings.

      It's in the standard 'All Documents' view. Nothing added to it. I do have other views we use, it's just sometimes easier to use this one and it's just annoying when you go to edit metadata and halfway through it just refreshes the screen.

So we have a SharePoint library and there's quite a few items in it. It's set up to allow metadata to be entered, but for some reason the view refreshes quite often meaning when we go to edit the metadata, the screen will refresh before the metadata can be saved. is it a standard view or do you use ViewFormatting, ColumnFormatting or anything else?

You can try to create a new view with filters and a smaller number of elements and without customizing like formattings.

It's in the standard 'All Documents' view. Nothing added to it. I do have other views we use, it's just sometimes easier to use this one and it's just annoying when you go to edit metadata and halfway through it just refreshes the screen.
