SharePoint folder permissions not in File Explorer after sync

Hoping someone can help.  A client has SharePoint setup such that folders can be created but not deleted or renamed. However, when the user syncs it to file explorer, all the permissions disappeared and they can rename, delete and upload. Any guidance would be much appreciated.
