sharepoint error: The file "file location" has been locked for editing by another person
Hi
Has anyone come across this issue?
Lately, I have a few libraries where I go and try to check-out a document to edit and it gives the me above error. Thing is, the document isn't checked-out by anyone.
There is more than one document that this happens with, but not all.

- Yes, we have seen this on and off, definitely needs addressing by Microsoft once and for all.
- They don't have to be checked out for this to occur, the documents just have to be opened, and now that the default mode is edit when opening in excel online, people are noticing this more and more because the documents get locked for 5 or 10 minutes when this happens, even if they open it quick to look at it, then try to delete it. Same if you were to look and close, then go back and try to delete, there is a lock the system puts down on these files via the office online services and it's a known issue that I hope Microsoft somehow can iron out cause it's been pretty problematic lately. :P
